About her painting, Taos:
"I'm intrigued with the life ordinary objects take on when freed of their contexts, as in this instance, the framing/freeing image of a drainage pipe. I'm equally intrigued, as a poet and a visual artist, with the underlying structure of surfaces and matter as they are revealed, transformed and often abstracted by the elements of time; flaking paint, faded by sun, eroded by wind, can reveal layers beneath, as can metal as it oxidizes and water and its various mutations.
My paintings/poems also continue the investigation of mutable surfaces and less mutable underlying structure."
